With more than a decade of performing weddings in the Washington DC metro area, we are familiar with most of the popular wedding venues that our couples generally consider.  However, this was our first trip to Murray Hill Estates, and it was such a treat to be introduced.  Just minutes from major shopping and thoroughfares, Murray Hill offers a picturesque step back in time for a beautiful Leesburg wedding.

We insist upon a site-visit any time Bela Sono is working in a new venue.  Our team is prepared for almost anything with our wedding set up, but there is no substitute for having seen a property first hand.  From our visit, we learned that Murray Hill presented some challenging logistics, but the results were well worth our effort.

The ceremony was held with the Potomac river as the backdrop.  Power was not available without running cords dangerously across the grounds.  Instead, we opted for our battery powered ceremony solution to provide music and microphones.  The Reverend told us that it was the best audio experience she ever had while performing a wedding – and that was on a windy day!

The day threatened a bit of rain, so cocktail hour was moved to the main barn.  We didn’t miss a beat and had music playing as guests arrived and enjoyed their first cocktails and libations for the evening.  As you can see above, the barn is a vast space.  We placed our primary DJ system right on the dance floor, which was ideal for dancing.  However, our wireless Bose speakers were invaluable to provide even sound coverage for the entire space.

The celebration that followed was incredible.  Both families loved to dance, and joined on the dance floor to celebrate Erica and Brian.  We wish them nothing but happy memories of their spectacular Leesburg wedding!
