Birkby House is one of our favorite wedding venues in Leesburg, Virginia. You’re getting a gorgeous outdoor setting, and the convenience of your whole wedding being possible in a fairly compact single space.

The tent features soft draping and lighting that give a you a great ambiance to start with. And don’t underestimate how important the air conditioners could be on a warm summer day like the one we had for this wedding!

Bela Sono provided microphones and music for the ceremony. We keep our Bose compact speakers off to the left and right of guests so that none of the wedding photos feature our equipment. And the small lapel mic that the officiant wears virtually disappears. Our goal is to be as invisible as possible during any wedding ceremony.

Mike and Megan had great taste when it comes to their music selections. During cocktails and dinner we took people on a journey through some classic rock, great country tunes, as well as some indie favorites. They were able to each put their stamp on the music selection for the wedding to bring it all together.

As these two come together, the only division in their home might be over football. The maid of honor and best man’s toast clearly outlined that there is a Redskins and Eagles rivalry going on. It got even more exciting when they decided to sing the fight songs for each team later in the reception.
