Who are we?

For more than a decade, Ross Anderson has been helping awesome couples put together the perfect soundtrack for their wedding day. A musician from a young age, Ross has always had a passion for music and entertaining. As a DJ, Ross’ love of bringing together different styles of music in creative ways on the dance floor makes him uniquely suited to excel at wedding entertainment.

Ross founded Bela Sono Music on simple principles: Perform at the highest level for everything we do, don’t cut corners, and be fair and transparent with every client and wedding industry partner. We will constantly press at the question of, “Is there a better way?”

Whether you and your partner are full of ideas or need a little direction, Ross and his team have the experience to help you craft the perfect wedding celebration.

What do we do?

Our philosophy permeates our thought process from start to finish and has a big impact on the way we perform.  During your ceremony, the focus is just that.  Sound should be crystal clear, free from distractions, and the sound equipment should be virtually invisible.  Your cocktail hour and dinner service is about friends and family reconnecting, talking, enjoying the moment.  Music should be present and relevant, but not overbearing.  Like a great aperitif before a meal it should begin moving you towards a party without dominating your attention.  During the toasts, each and every guest should be able to hear without straining, but never be burdened by sound that is too loud.  And finally, your dance party should be a celebration.  All of your guests, friends and family dancing into the night together to great music.  None of this focuses on us as your DJ.  Instead, we think of ourselves as facilitators.  We can keep the focus in the right place, and enhance every part of your wedding, while never being the center of attention.

We combine our philosophy of putting first things first with incredible technology, and straightforward pricing.  Every component of our gear and our process has been thoughtfully chosen to provide the best wedding experience possible.  Our set up is elegant and unobtrusive, but ensures that every guest is having a great experience.  We utilize Bose Professional speakers during your ceremony, cocktail hour, and to fill in sound during your reception for balanced incredible sound.  Our lighting technology is best-in-class and allows us to transform your venue with total wireless control and flexibility.  The bottom line is that we have spent an enormous amount of time perfecting our process so that you don’t have to worry about it.  Instead you can focus on enjoying your day, and creating fabulous memories.
